just to be clear . . .

It makes me kind of sad that Jamie Oliver was ragging on pizza served for breakfast, though. One of the chief pleasures of my college years was eating cold pizza for breakfast. Or steak! And he's from England, anyway, so what does he know about pizza? Uh, get back to me when you guys aren't using canned corn as a topping, buddy.

I'm working on a story and I interviewed a chef from Cache Valley today. She's presenting at a cooking show at WSU on April 29 and I immediately thought of you because she talked about how she loves beets. She said she will definitely present something on how to prepare both the fleshy part and the greens. I think I even said, "That is so interesting, because I have this friend who grows beets but has a hard time loving them." And, she was like, "Beets are the best! I keep them in my fridge year round!" So, if you want some beet ideas . . .

I'll definitely be there. I love the greens, and even the beets themselves are great steamed with enough butter and salt and pepper. But any other way? Shudder.
