I hope the wax on my wings doesn't melt.

I just got the coolest idea for a s'more cake, with a graham cracker crust, a sheet of homemade marshmallow for the center, and a chocolate ganache frosting. Overkill? Too much sugar, probably? Have you ever eaten those indoor s'more things off the Golden Grahams box? I am powerless against them. I want to make this. Plus, the graham cracker recipe from Martha Stewart's Cookies book is really good.

In other news: I am going to New York! To visit my sister! But more importantly, to get away from my children! Who are less and less safe with me as each day passes!

If Pinga would just do a better job vacuuming it wouldn't be so bad.

Ooh, that cake sounds great. I love Golden Grahams.
I made the "Good to the Grain" graham crackers yesterday and they were too swarthy and earthy to fill in for storebought. Like eating healthy gingersnaps. I will try Martha's recipe next.

Wow, have a great time in NY.

I made something similar, it had a graham cracker crust, then brownie for the middle and topped with marshmallows. It would have turned out great if I had baked the brownie AND then added the marshmallow topping to brown. (But hey, the missionaries still ate it...)

New York? So jealous! I tried making smores brownies. Layer of brownie batter, layer of graham crackers, layer of hershey bars, layer of marshmellows, layer of brownie batter. They tasted good but were incredibly gooey and rich. I wont make them again! I want to hear how the cake turns out!
