been a long time, on a crooked road

A video I just watched of Tipsy making a sandwich has made me curious. Please do the poll on the sidebar, or I may die. Of curiosity, like the cat.

peanut butter on both slices, jam (or honey, more likely) on top of one, same knife (with wipe in between) smash together.

With jam: peanut butter on one side, jam on the other. Knife wiped in between applications.

With honey: Peanut butter on one slice. Work honey into peanut butter gently on slice of bread. Either fold or apply other piece of bread.

Peanut butter must always be crunchy or "natural". Always. Creamy is too much like eating shortening straight. Ick.

Word Verification is suave. lol

Honey on one side, PB on the other. Honey first, no wiping before getting the PB. No jam. Phil like butter under the PB.

Tipsy--no fear, you have not set the planets out of orbit. It was just one of those moments when you realize that your assumption that everyone loads the toilet paper the same way and uses the same kind of Christmas lights is incorrect. I had never seen anyone make a PBJ that way, and I wanted to know how sheltered my worldview was. Turns out my sister-in-law Emily makes them the same way you do. I am very interested to see how many different methods appear.

peanut butter on the first slice, then wipe the knife on the clean bread, then jam on top of peanut butter, then wipe knife again on the clean slice. Then either I put the knife in the dishwasher or my son, if he is making the sandwich, puts the knife back in the drawer.

I make mine with mayo and M&Ms like Goldie Hawn in Overboard. Okay not really. I do PB on one slice, wipe the knife on the clean bread, and then do jelly on that slice and press them together.
